The essay has two parts. In the first, of the Nobel
laurates “Erwin Neher”
discuss why he had great impact
on the progress of science? Justify your choice with select examples of
his work, or of work by others that was directly influenced by the
laureate. In the second part, “Alain Marty” who studied under the laureate and has significantly advanced the work of that
mentor. Give select examples of the work of the “child”
including work done in the mentor’s lab and that performed after leaving the
mentor’s lab. Give relevant literature citations (5-10 recommended).
Essay Format
Essays
should be 800-1000 words in length (both parts combined).
A minimum
of 5 scholarly references, preferably more should be cited
in the text correctly and listed in a reference list placed at the end of
the essay using APA or other standard scientific format.
Use double
line spacing throughout the essay. This will make
interpretation of your graded essay easier.
The
final submitted essay should be either a doc o docx file.
