The essay question (approximately 5 pages in length) asks you to raise a virtual child, meaning you should reflect on how you would raise a child based on data that you have learned in this course. You should address 5 areas of child development. Some examples include childbirth options, breastfeeding, sleep training, screen time, video games, punishment, language exposure, teaching, growth mindset, and education about race and racism, etc. For each of these areas, you should cite one piece of data. Make sure to enumerate (#1, 2, 3, 4, 5) with a heading in bold each of the areas. At the end of the essay, you should cite references in APA style. For this project, I am making the assumption that most of you do not have children. This should not, however, read like a diary entry of what you have done or will do. Instead, it should be data based and scholarly in tone. Although you can cite the book or websites, your citations should come from research articles.
