Part II of your Population Research Paper. The population/culture/identity you chose to write about, you’ll create a social action plan for how you would advocate for them. You must include essays from the MAIN TEXTBOOK as a source, at least ONE source from the Canvas site/handout (s) from class, and TWO credible sources (one of these sources can be the website of an organization that you would work with to advocate for the group you wrote about in papers one and two. The other source can be a credible website [.gov, .org, etc.] or a research article). A total of three sources to include on your reference page.
The paper should be 2-3 pages (maximum, not including your reference page), double spaced, Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, correct APA in-text citations (when applicable), and a reference page (correct APA format). Post to Canvas.
Define social action or social justice, advocacy, and allyship in YOUR OWN WORDS and cite your source using APA within text citations.
Create an action plan to assist the group you wrote about in paper one. What issue is this population facing that you would advocate for? What type of activism would you do and why? *see bold or backseat activism examples from CCE’s advocacy workshop.*
Choose 1-2 organizations to ‘work closely with to assist the group you wrote about in paper one. What organization would you research and work with to assist this group? Why would this organization be helpful in your social action plan? Cite your sources using APA within text citations, where applicable.
