Pick four article and write the summary I am a new father and I want the best for my baby daughter. I want to give her the head
start in life I never had, so that she can get a scholarship to go to college and get a good
job. I’ve seen all kinds of products out there, like Baby Einstein videos and Leapfrog
electronic toys, that are supposed to be able to teach babies all sorts of amazing things- a
second language, music and art appreciation, how to read, and all sorts of facts. The
problem is that these products are expensive, and money is really tight in our family right
now. Is it really worth it to invest in all these early learning videos, apps, and toys? Do they

Write a summary for each of the four articles you selected and explain how they relate to the parent question you chose this quarter.
In your submission:
• Summarize. Present a summary of each article that is accurate and enough detail so that a person who has not read the original article would understand the purpose of the research, how it worked, what they found, and what it means. If there are limitations in the research that affect how the findings are interpreted, include a discussion of limitations. We expect each summary will be 1-2 paragraphs long. (Since you had a practice attempt at summarizing in the previous assignment, expectations will be higher in this paper.)
• Connect. Following each summary, write 1-2 sentences explaining how the study applies to the parent’s question.
• Preview conclusions. In the last section of your paper, write a short (1-2 sentence) preview of how you think the research papers apply to the parent topic. Avoid using first person. For example, you could write, “Taken together, these studies suggest that children benefit from….” Or “Across studies X and Y, the findings suggest that parents should…”. Focus on the research, do not write “I recommend that parents…”.
• Your writing will be in APA-style, including in-text citations and your reference page
• The expected length is around 4 double-spaced pages, not including a reference page. This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeSummary & APA references
