Review the video “Andy” below. For the purpose of this assignment, you are to assume that you have sat in and observed this interview.
Record a 5-minute audiovisual presentation suitable for use as a handover to your colleagues using the ISBAR structure.
For the recommendations (R) choose 2 recovery-focused interventions. Provide evidence supporting the intervention, and explain how you would use it with Andy. – A recovery-oriented approach
National policy in Australia supports a recovery-oriented approach (National Mental Health Strategy, 2017). A number of definitions can be found in the literature. Recovery-oriented practice is guided by six principles:
individual uniqueness
real choices
attitudes and rights
dignity and respect
partnership and communication
evaluating recovery (Hungerford et al., 2015, p. 26).
