For most of these questions you will need to know where I live. I live in the state of Arizona, in the city of queen creek. The area will help with the community resources.
Part 1: Interview
A. Conduct an interview with an educational professional in your community on topics related to mental health or emotional well-being, youth suicide prevention, substance abuse, or child abuse. Identify the following:
• the interviewee’s name and job title
• the interviewee’s organization
• the date and time of your interview
Note: Do not include any identifying information about students or community members in your submission.
1. As part of your interview, address the following topics:
a. Identify specific mental health or emotional well-being issues that exist within your community.
b. Discuss specific resources available in your community to address the identified issues, especially as they relate to students.
B. Identify a state law that governs teacher responsibilities related to an issue need you identified in part A1a, including a link or other citation identifying the law.
1. Explain how this law will inform how you would respond to this issue in your future classroom.
Part 2: Community Resources
C. Identify a specific public place in your community (e.g., Oakville City Library, Foothill Branch) where a teacher or student could find resources to address one of the issues identified in part A1a. Include the street address in your identification.
1. Describe a resource provided by the public place you identified in part C, including the issue it addresses and how it addresses that issue.
D. Acknowledge sources, using in-text citations and references, for content that is quoted, paraphrased, or summarized.
E. Demonstrate professional communication in the content and presentation of your submission.
