This is to be your own work done in the bubble of your own thoughts.
This week is all about host and pathogen factors relevant to disease acquisition and outcome. In it, you will find 2 questions. The first question asks you to describe a pathogen factor, the second a related host factor. Consider how you will respond to both questions before undertaking them, as they are meant to be related.
Responses may be brief (a paragraph, for instance). In fact, brief is preferred. However, I do need to be able to understand what you are telling me.
2. Name a host factor (immunology, nutrition) relevant to the way that a person reacts to the pathogen factor that you selected in the first question, and describe how it facilitates, prevents, or mitigates the consequences of the infection.
Read the requirements of the 1st question before undertaking this.
