This assignment consists of three parts. First, using information from the textbook and PowerPoint lectures, explain Jung’s concept of archetypes:
In your own words, explain what are archetypes?
Why are archetypes significant?
Can archetypes be used to explain some of the concepts of Christianity? (i.e. Jesus as the “hero” or “self”; God as the “wise old man” or “great father”; Satan as “shadow”; Mary as “great mother”).
Should they be used? Why or why not?
