Read the below links, and then considert a significant relationship in your life (romantic partner, friend, family member). Summarize that relationship briefly and analyze it. You can examine either big picture items from the Sound Relationships House or items specific to one conflict. Describe what is going well and why. Conversely, what is not going well. What can you do to change these things? Focus on what YOU do only since that’s the only thing you can change!!
Discuss at least 3 concepts specifically! For example: “My partner texts me often just to ask how my day is going. These texts are bids for connection.”
Be specific, not general. So say, “I repair a lot when we fight, using humor and affection” instead of “we communicate well.” The point of this project is for you to learn about Gottman and use his work to have better relationships, and being specific is the way to do that.
