● Title should relate to substance use/abuse or encourage college students to avoid addiction, alcohol, tobacco
and other drugs
2. Article 1 with picture
● Include 1 article based on the interview of a doctor about vaping and any potential dangers associated with
vaping.
o Title of article
o Include a story about an individual who vapes
o Include 3-5 health risks associated with vaping
3. Article 2 with picture
● Include 1 article based on the interview of a coroner on a case involving the death of a 20 year-old male to
alcohol poisoning
o Title of article
o Include cause of death
o 3 or more signs of alcohol poisoning
o 3 or more ways to respond if a person has alcohol poisoning
4. Article 3 with picture
● Include 1 article based on the interview of a drug rehab counselor on the harmful effects of a popular drug used
by college students today

o Include name of drug (your choice)

o Describe 3 factors that increase a person’s risk of substance abuse
5. An Advice Column
• Include a specific question on how to deal with a family member who has an addiction to alcohol, tobacco or
another drug (include the specific drug)
• Include 5 or more suggestions/strategies to deal with the addiction
