Application: Program Progress Guide, Professional Development Plan, and State Licensure Requirements
The Program Progress Guide (PPG) and Professional Development Plan help you to identify the courses you will take, when they will be completed, and how the degree program fits into your overall academic and professional goals. As part of your professional development, you must review your state’s licensure requirements. These requirements must be met for you to be eligible to sit for licensure in your state. Requirements vary by state and may change as you progress through your program. It is your responsibility to track your state’s licensure requirements, determine which are met by Walden’s program, and which (if any) are not met by Walden’s program. Neither Walden nor any other university can guarantee that you will be eligible to sit for licensure upon completion of your program. Therefore, you must be diligent to identify your state’s licensure requirements and track your progress as you attempt to complete these requirements.
To prepare for this assignment:
Review the PPG carefully for accuracy.
The PPG is a list of all courses required for the completion of your degree. It should have been sent to you by your academic advisor. Please submit this document.
The assignment:
Complete your Program Progress Guide (PPG) and your Professional Development Plan (PDP). Then, provide a copy of your state licensure requirements. Be sure to spell- and grammar-check the documents; they should represent your best professional effort.
*Important information regarding the Program Progress Guide and course sequences:
It is not unusual for the PPG to go through several publishs.
The courses will be offered in a prescribed sequence.
