Background to help with this paper:I’m an ICU nurse that has worked on a covid unit in the past where we were severely down in staffing We had patients that required ECMO which would be a one to one (One nurse to one patient). But many times we would have that type of patient with another very sick patient. It created a very unsafe environment. There were times we had to be tripled while also having one of those patients. Very dangerous for the nurse and especially the patient.
