Compare Normal Gait to Spastic Diplegia Gait: Briefly discuss all phases of normal gait and compare these phases to Spastic Diplegia Gait.
1. Provide six (6) different biomechanical and musculoskeletal deviations from the spastic diplegia gait that prevent the person from achieving a normal gait pattern.
• Two (2) pathologies may have etiology from the same joint, such as the hip, knee, or hindfoot. The other examples must be from other parts/joints of the body.
2. Briefly discuss six (6) compensatory motions that can be observed as a result of having this pathologic gait.
• Two (2) compensatory motions can occur from the same joint. The other compensatory movements must be from different body parts/joints.
