Psychology has many different perspectives which have evolved over time. In your discussion list the different perspectives that are mentioned in Chapter 1. Then choose 1 perspective that you believe to be important in the field today, be able to justify your choice by explaining the history and contribution that it has made to the field. People with Parkinson’s disease do not have enough dopamine, while people with schizophrenia have too much. Is it possible to have Parkinson’s disease and schizophrenia at the same time? Why or why not?
Describe the advantages and disadvantages of observational, survey, correlational and experimental research methods and the type of conclusions that can be drawn about behavior from each method. Incorporate the text to back up your statements by paraphrasing what you have read. You must include the book or an article at the end of your discussion as a reference.
