How might indulging children’s every whim feed into moral development in middle childhood? How might understanding boundaries and limits feed into developing a morally healthy child? Will indulgence in middle childhood lay the groundwork for problems in early adulthood?
In your response you might want to cite examples of how older children’s capacity to take more information into account enhances their emotional and moral understanding. In other words, how is this different from early childhood? Try to incorporate changes (with examples and references) in self-concept, emotional understanding, perspective taking, and moral development into your post.
