I hope everyone is having a smooth week 6.
Which course will you take next? What does it interest you? What do you hope to learn from it? How might it help you advance your current career or prepare for your future?
The next class I plan on taking is Exercise Physiology. I’m a very physically active person, so I am incredibly interested in learning what my body goes through physiologically before, after, and during exercising. I’d also like to see what exercise plan I come up with in the end. This will help me prepare for future fitness plans I do for myself and will allow me to use those tools to teach my family, soldiers, and patients.
Are there any obstacles you foresee in future classes? How will you work to overcome them?
My biggest challenges have been being in HAWAII and taking these online classes, running a department, having additional duties, and raising my baby; it kind of leaves me at a disadvantage when it comes to the due outs on Sunday night eastern time zone because most times I only have the weekend to touch up on everything. Then on top of that, I lose 6 hours because of the time zones. Therefore, I have to have emaculated time management to be successful. That has been my biggest challenge. For the next 8 weeks, I’m not going to take as many classes as I have this go around.
Is there a specific topic you would like to see offered in our public health courses?

When do you anticipate graduating?
The goal is to be completed by the end of next year!
What do you hope to do with your degree?
My degree will be my stepping stool to becoming a dentist.
