First, as you read, I want you to think about what theory might best explain your current desire to be in school and learn. Does that theory also fit for your customs, traditions, holidays you celebrate, etc.? Why or why not? Write a paragraph that shares your thinking as to which motivational theory fits best for you and why. This is worth 20%
Second, as you read through the cognitive theory part, you will see a list of cognitive theories that have become somewhat popular over the years. Most of these are from the 1990s and early 2000s. I want you to pick one of these, find a good link on the Internet that explains this theory /idea, and think about if this theory fits to explain any part of your motives to be in school. Submit to the week five assignment area what you learned, the site you used, etc. This should be maybe a page long. We will discuss what you learned from doing this. This is worth 20%.
