Movie Review
and Application: Watch a movie or
film, write (do not copy!) a BRIEF opening
synopsis of the film and apply 2 concepts addressed in class and/or text to the
movie. Movies may be on any subject currently being covered. 100/100/100 papers may be done
instead, but feature films will only be awarded at ½ credit and documentaries
at full credit. Be sure to write an
association of class information and the movie(s). Finding film clips that I can view or use
from the web may be worth extra points and extra credit may be given for
documentaries mentioned in class.
Personality refers to the long-standing traits and patterns that propel individuals to consistently think, feel, and behave in specific ways. Our personality is what makes us unique individuals. Each person has an idiosyncratic pattern of enduring, long-term characteristics and a manner in which they interact with other individuals and the world around them. Our personalities are thought to be long term, stable, and not easily changed. The word personality comes from the Latin word persona. In the ancient world, a persona was a mask worn by an actor. While we tend to think of a mask as being worn to conceal one’s identity, the theatrical mask was originally used to either represent or project a specific personality trait of a character

over the entire assignment (i.e.: what you did, why you did it, how you did
it and did you DIG it) which should come AFTER
your paper’s concluding paragraph or bulleted points (unless otherwise
instructed) and this reflection should be written in the first person. You should
review, reflect, relate and rate the assignment on a scale of
1-10 and put the rating in parenthesis or circle please. For example…REVIEW – I watched the trailer/clip
about (blank) because I found it or you told me to or in class, and the clip
showed/talked about (blank), it RELATED
to the current topic(s) and AT LEAST ONE text term/concept because
(yadayadayada), REFLECTING BACK I can see where this was/was not a
good example or why you showed it because (yadayadaya), so…I would RATE it a (blank) out of 10, because it
was cool, stupid, pointless, whatever! Fair on the side of writing too much on
these for full or even EXTRA credit!
It
should be about 2 pages, typed in 12 point font, double-spaced, with one inch
margins in paragraph format (intro, body, conclusion, RRR), so keep it short,
sweet but complete!.
