1. For the following two scenarios, identify the 4 aspects of classical conditioning: unconditioned response (UR), the unconditioned stimulus (US), the conditioned response (CR), and the conditioned stimulus (CS). Be sure to explain how you determined which one each was. ‘
a. The door to your house squeaks loudly when you open it. Soon, your dog begins wagging its tail when the door squeaks.
b. You have a meal at a fast food restaurant that causes food poisoning. The next time you see a sign for that restaurant, you feel nauseated.
2. Watch this and answer the following questions
a. What type of reinforcement was being used?
b. What reinforcement schedule was being used? Based on what you learned about schedules, explain how likely is it for the effects of the conditioning to be long term?
c. What other schedule of reinforcement might be more successful and why? How would he have used that schedule?

1. What are your general thoughts on the idea of learning violence through media? Do you feel it is well-supported by the literature (i.e. the theories about learning you learned about)? Is there anything that seems to be missing or other explanations that could be offered for the increased aggression found in the studies?
2. Based on the theories of learning, do you think the findings of video games and aggression can be generalized to other forms of media – such as television shows, movies, or videos on the internet? Why or why not?
3. What are potential solutions or changes that should be made to the types of media available to children and adolescents? For example, are there any restrictions that should be set? If so, what are they and how would we go about implementing them. If you don’t think there are changes that can or should be made, why not?
