PEEP Action Plan and Proposal
Guidelines
This assignment requires you to (1) formalize an action plan identifying your progress toward achieving the courseâs student learning outcomes and (2) develop a formal project proposal for your PEEP. Your action plan and proposal serve as the framework or blueprint for your Practice Enhancement Education Project.
Your assignment submission should demonstrate the ability to think critically about the impact of health promotion and disease prevention activities on your community and target population. Health teaching concepts learned from your assigned readings and lectures should be applied.
Note: Do not implement your project until you have received feedback on this assignment. The instructor reserves the right to request revisions to your proposal prior to granting approval for project implementation. If a student implements the project prior to addressing any requested revisions to the proposal, a zero may be given on the corresponding section(s) of the PEEP Analysis and Clinical Experience Journal.
The assignment must be a minimum of five pages in length not to exceed ten pages (not including title page or reference page). The quality of this assignment submission is very important.

Student Learning Outcomes and Action Plan
The purpose of this component of your PEEP is to demonstrate a carefully thought-out plan for the development, implementation, and evaluation of your live teaching project. The time you spend collaborating with your preceptor, researching your topic, preparing your teaching and evaluation materials, implementing your live teaching, and evaluating the effectiveness of your teaching. Your plans must represent the required minimum 16 hours for the PEEP and will typically occur over a few weeks. In addition to planned actions, you may include any actions accomplished since approval of your preceptor. Your actions/planned actions must also demonstrate progress toward at least four of the courseâs student learning outcomes (the knowledge, skills, and abilities you are expected to master by the end of this course).
There are a total of 15 student learning outcomes for NU 456 Population-Based for you to choose from. The student learning outcomes are listed on page 2 of the course syllabus.

Project Title and Description
Provide the title of your project.
The planned date(s) of implementation.
The specific Healthy People 2030 topic and objective being addressed by your PEEP.
Thorough discussion of how your community and target population will be impacted by your PEEP.
Behavioral Objectives
List a minimum of four behavioral objectives, in SMART format, that will guide your teaching. Remember, these are brief statements identifying what you expect your audience to gain in knowledge, skill, or attitudes as a result of your live education. Each objective must be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound. Strive to address multiple domains of learning (cognitive, psychomotor, and affective). Teaching Strategies
Thoroughly discuss the teaching strategies that you will utilize in your live education.
Consider and discuss the pros and cons of each method you have chosen.
Describe what makes your chosen methods most appropriate for your specific audience. Identify the teaching materials you plan to use for your live education. ***Note: As part of Module 8 Clinical Experience Journal and Analysis assignment, you will be required to submit the teaching materials developed for your PEEP. This may be a PowerPoint developed to guide your teaching, a brochure for participants to take home, a photo of a poster/presentation board, a video, etc. Materials must be designed and created by the student. All products you create should include evidence based references cited in correct APA format.
Outcome Evaluation
Thoroughly discuss the evaluation strategies that you will utilize in determining whether or not your audience met each behavioral objective.
Address a plan for both short-term and long-term evaluation.
Describe what makes your chosen methods most appropriate for your specific audience. Teacher Performance Evaluation
Thoroughly discuss the teacher performance evaluation strategies that you will use to evaluate your own performance as a teacher.
Describe what makes your chosen methods most appropriate for your specific audience.
Content Outline
Provide a detailed content outline of the specific evidence-based information you plan to present during your live education.
A detailed content outline will be approximately one page in length. You may use a traditional outline, bullet points, or any other outline format you choose.
Content should be developed based on your stated behavioral objectives.
Sources of evidence-based content are to be cited in correct APA format or points will be deducted.

References
List the references you used to develop content for your live education.
Include a minimum of five references:
Two professional websites
Two evidence based articles from peer reviewed scholarly journals
The Healthy People 2030 topic and objective being addressed.
Use APA formatting for the reference page and all in-text citations.
