The knowledge base of ASD is constantly growing. While the instructor of this course attempts to
provide you with the latest, most important information relevant to ASD, it’s impossible to cover every
relevant topic. This brief paper presents your chance to contribute to your colleagues’ learning.
Option 1. Using Google Scholar (https://scholar.google.com) or a database such as the CSULB library’s
PsycINFO, find a journal article published within the last 6 years that provides information on an ASD
topic that has not already been covered in this course. For example, you may find the latest
information on adults with ASD, recent ASD neuroscientific findings, or consideration of the challenges
of ASD and dating relationships.
Begin your paper with an APA-style citation of the article, and then provide a brief summary of the
information presented in the article. Be sure to summarize the article, not just the abstract! Conclude
the brief paper with several sentences about how you feel the article extends our knowledge of ASD.
