When I did my Personality Type quiz, it said I was an ESTP-T personality type. I have taken quizzes like this before and the results have been very similar. I have an extraverted personality, which is very true. I’m about even with thinking (52%) and feeling (48%) and my energy is observant. For all of this, they put my career path as an entrepreneur. In the career path section, it talked about how I like action. This is true–I rather “do” things than “think” about things. I make friends and connections wherever I go–again, this is true. Almost all my past jobs have been through connections. I am curious and energetic and sales and marketing are my strengths. Again, I have been in retail sales for a few years, in different avenues. I am very good at it and have received bonuses, written and verbal comments, and been recognized by my employer for my achievements. However, I don’t like retail sales! I will be starting a new job in a few weeks that is just sales at conventions. It looks exciting and works with my strengths, so hopefully I will enjoy that. One thing the quiz said is that I like to take risks. For right now, that is not true. I don’t want just commission in my sales. I want a salary and commission. Maybe later in life, when I have more confidence, I will want to take more risks, but not right now.
I think knowing who you are is very important in finding your career path. For example, I like to be around people, so I know that I will have to have a job in which I am with people all day and not just behind a desk. My dad is very physical and likes to physically do things all day. His career is a physical education teacher and he loves it. If you don’t know your likes and dislikes, you may end up in a career that you are poorly suited for and I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to do college again for a new career!
I, thankfully, have had maybe one or two migraine headaches in my lifetime but I know others who suffer from them in a consistent pattern. I looked up the new treatments for these headaches. The American Migraine Foundation said that generally, medicines fall into two categories–prevention and to stop the migraine. These treatments come in many forms–oral (pills), nasal spray, injections (like Botox), and infusions (a new medicine that you put on your scalp and seeps through to the nerve endings!). I am thankful for those who suffer from migraines that there are many different types of treatments. Hopefully, they can find one that works for them.

As mentioned, people are satisfied with their job when it matches with their personality. Coming into this, I knew that I was an introvert, but I did not know my personality type. I took the personality type quiz to determine what type I am. After answering the questions, it determined that I am a virtuoso, which means that I enjoy learning by hands on activity. Often times, those with this personality types are mechanics and engineers which is very fitting for me. I am currently an Aerospace engineering major.
I agree that personality type is important when choosing a career. If you are an introvert, you do not want to have a job where you need to talk to people and be in the public eye. I think it is important to note what your strengths and weaknesses are and use those in searching for a job. You want to be interested and what you do and not have a job that you dread going to. I believe that you also want to search for a job that may push you out of your comfort zone a little to help grow your skills, but you do not want to be uncomfortable or unhappy with whatever career path you choose.
Although tests like these are not always accurate, I believe that mine was. Like I mentioned, this personality type is usually in the field of engineering and that is the field I hope to be in. I think this is a good baseline tool to start to get an idea of what fields might suit you, this is not an end all be all site where it can fit you perfectly, but it can give you an idea.
Migraine headaches can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation that is usually on one side of the head. They can be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, extreme sensitivity to light, and temporary loss in vision.
