“Good afternoon, class! I hope everyone has had a great week thus far! For week 5 we have been given the task to explain the law of diminishing marginal productivity. The law of diminishing marginal productivity to me, basically, boils down to that the more of any goods/services/products an individual’s uses/buys results in a decline the more an individual consumes it. An example would be, if your favorite cake is chocolate cake and you get the chance to have it every day for dessert then most likely as the days go by, it starts to taste not so great. For me this example breaks it down and makes it easier to understand. As we all went through the pandemic with COVID-19 it wasn’t long before we found out that there was a shortage in physicians. Actually, a shortage in healthcare workers in general. However, we will focus on physicians for this post. There’s a multitude of reasons behind this. For starters, money. Physicians are often required to work long hours; holidays and it is hard to have a good work/life balance. Physicians are humans, they need the money they deserve for providing care to individuals in the community while missing time with their own families. Sometimes the increase need for physicians helps because the pay can be greater. I look forward to reading everyone’s post and also I look forward to any feedback!”
