DISCUSSION 1
The dissemination of research findings in healthcare makes information available to the targeted population, achieving its intended purpose. First, I would present the research findings to the hospital board, which comprises representatives of various hospitals. Through personal communication, I would explain to them the essence of the project and how it would be helpful in the medical facility. Then, I would consider the target audience. Hospital-acquired pressure injuries are a problem affecting almost every hospital department (Despotovic et al., 2020). Therefore, this information would be aimed at nurses and support staff, doctors, and other professionals involved in patient care. The next step is to select the key messages to be disseminated. I would thoroughly consider the dissemination options. Dissemination methods for different audiences would include campaigns, posters, face-to-face workshops, and brochure campaigns. The next step is to prepare the dissemination materials. I would then find ways to improve the accessibility of the information. This step will include finding the most appropriate areas to display the posters and making the information easily accessible to the target audiences. The next step is to implement the strategy. During the release, I would consider an official launch event to help professionals understand the guidelines. Next, I would evaluate the effectiveness of the dissemination. The final step is continuously updating the released policies to make the information more current and based on changes in evidence.
Masters-prepared nurses can determine the best places to disseminate the information using the dissemination frameworks. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s Dissemination Planning Tool exemplifies such a framework. This tool helps the nurse or the researcher understand the nature of their research. After determining the type of research from the framework, the nurse can know the best places to disseminate the information and which will be more useful (Mora Pinzon et al., 2021). As the project involves pressure injuries, a common problem in hospitals, the nurse may first opt to disseminate the information locally before going to the national level. The team can submit the abstract to state-level organizations, which have enough capacity to reach and impact other hospitals. Furthermore, the team can opt to spread awareness in hospitals around the community.

Week 6: Discussion Board Posting
One of the most challenging steps of implementing evidence into practice is distributing or disseminating its findings. However, it is also one of the most crucial steps. Methodologically rigorous investigations produce knowledge that contributes to scientific theory and practice, ensures that the study’s methods, analysis, and conclusions are open to scientific and public scrutiny, and ensures that those with a vested interest in the research can understand and benefit from the findings of the study (Hagan et al., 2017).It is among the main objectives of disseminating evidence-based findings to increase the availability of relevant information and to encourage others to utilize research findings in clinical practice (Fencl & Matthews, 2017). The propagation of information is essential to the research process, because through this venue is that the information acquired can be spread. Betz et al. (2019) mention that the primary goal of the disseminating the evidence is to ensure the adoption and transfer of research findings into clinical practice.
Both internal and external dissemination of evidence is crucial. Focusing on the scenario, the next step for the team, after submitting an abstract, would be to have the information acquired be distributed throughout the unit and even the hospital. Conducting a presentation at a staff meeting would be an appropriate way for the team to spread the newly found information (Fencl & Matthews, 2017). Another way that could be used to help in the internal dissemination process, would be to prepare an article for the departmental newsletter (Fencl & Matthews, 2017). This way the results of the research can be shared with the unit and others in the hospital.
Master prepared nurse can use the researched information and share the results externally in local, state, national or international platforms. These may be done in posters, academic paper, by conducting a podium or oral presentation, panels, or a media release, amongst many others (Fencl & Matthews, 2017). It is important to know the content of what is being presented, and find the way to best present the message to the specific audience being targeted. In addition to disseminating EBP information themselves, advanced practice nurses may help other nurses overcome barriers to successful dissemination.
Nurses with advanced practice roles can help other nurses in the dissemination of information by being powerful role models and providing constructive feedback, helping to develop material, identifying needs of the audience, and assisting in the preparation and organization of the presentation of information, and assisting in the dissemination process (Fencl & Matthews, 2017). By promoting the dissemination of evidence-based knowledge, health care leaders benefit their organizations and their profession.
