As a Registered Nurse
you may be in a role where you are required to communicate information to your
peers about various topics and engage in conversation. In this module, you will
focus on the first part of this discussion:
Introducing the topic of Informatics.
Refer to the Newsletter Discussion Boards Newsletter Discussion Boards –
Alternative Formats document for guidance regarding the
mechanics and methods of communication options. Refer to the details in the
discussion thread to learn more about what to include in your initial post and
peer replies.
Instructions:
Each
member of Group A (last names starting
with A-H) should create a newsletter (written, SBAR, or video huddle) on
the topic of Introduce the Topic of Informatics.
In
your newsletter, answer the three (3) questions below.
What
is informatics?
What
are nurse competencies surrounding informatics?
Why
is nursing informatics vital to effective nursing practice in the 21st
century?
In the Introduce the Topic of Informatics discussion thread, each member of Group A should create an initial post
featuring their completed newsletter.
Your
initial post must include an APA Reference page regardless of delivery
type selected (written newsletter, or SBAR).
