Here’s the Grading Rubric for your Final Essay Paper:
Title page (10 points): Include your name, title, and course number centered on page
Introduction (10 points): Introduce the problem and preview the main points of your paper. You may also present a question on the topic.
Paragraphs (50 points): Provide a five-paragraph essay where you establish a clear thesis statement.
All ideas are strongly related to the thesis and are focused on the topic. Provide within your paragraphs strong content that helps to answer the question presented in the introduction.
In-text citations (10 points). In-text citations are provided for each of the three sources used in this paper and clearly match the sources on the reference page.
Word count (10 points): Your paper is at least 500 words long, but not more than 750 words.
Mechanics (10 points): Free of spelling and grammar errors and in APA format.
Conclusion (10 points): Summarize the main points presented.
Reference page (10 points):
Reference Page and In-text citations: Support your work with at least 3 references, cited in APA formatting. Select from academic sources: Journal articles or web sources (org., gov. or edu.). Each reference is also cited within the body of the paper for each paragraph whether it is quoted, summarized, or paraphrased.

Note: Papers that lack a reference page and proper in-text citations, and/or have a 50% or greater similarity index according to Turnitin.com will not be accepted. All papers that show plagiarism will receive a grade of 0%.
Please avoid the two extremes:
-A paper mainly comprised of stacked quotes.
-A paper that’s mainly comprised of opinions.
Please provide a balanced paper:
-A balanced paper is one that clearly acknowledges and cites each of your academic sources and provides your written perspective of the information from each of the sources. Rule of thumb: 20% or less of the paper is quotes, and 80% is your written reflection on your research.
Practice conciseness: Remove excess wording or fillers. Make each word count in your paper.
The paper must be 2-3 pages in length of text, typed, double-spaced, 11- or 12-point font, with 1-inch margins, using the concepts as subtopics (headings) for each paragraph. You also need a title page with your name, date, and class day and time.
