Use the following statement as a prompt for a refelctive essay:
As a health science student, it is important that i am aware of my strengths and competencies and how i ccan use then in practise.
CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING STRENGTHS BASED QUESTIONS:
What are you doing well?
What is something that you like about yourself?
What is something that your friends and family would say that you are good at?
What role do you play in the lives of the people that you care about?
How do you deal with challenges?
Application: How can your competencies be used working with clients/population groups/memebers of the health professinal team
Give practical examples of how you would use your competencies in practice when working with clients/population groups/members of the team
Use literature/sources to support why use of these skills/competencies are important when working with clients and the impact on achieving service goals.
Relate your skills to the competencies that you have been learning such as time management, aspects of professional behaviour, ethical standards, legal obligations etc.
The aim of this essay is to identify the strengths that you have and how you can use them when working with clients/population groups/members of the team.
