In a first section, summarize four conceptions of personhood from your textbook (pages 152-160), two religious and two secular views. Make sure you NAME the proponents of each view (i.e., who advocates for this view), while citing the textbook page between parentheses. At the end of this first section, CHOOSE ONE conception of personhood that matches your own views.
In a second section, explain how your chosen conception of personhood determines your personal ethical position on all four issues: abortion, IVF, embryonic stem cell research, and euthanasia. NOTE: You are not simply asked to state your position, but to show clearly how this position is founded on your definition of personhood.
In a third section, explore the limitations of your position on these different issues, i.e., the ways in which others might object to ALL FOUR of your ethical positions, based on different definitions of personhood. NOTE: You do not need to reply to these challenges, but simply to show that you are aware of the objections others may raise against your position.
