What quality metrics will you put into place and monitor to track the quality of your health care service?
Provide evidence from your research on practices and programs used by health care organizations to monitor quality in the delivery of care. Explain your findings.

Hello Class,
Quality metrics are essential in any organization and any new program being implemented. Quality metrics allow us to monitor, measure, evaluate, our services (U.S Food & Drug Administration.gov, 2022). If we want to track how our program is doing and how it is helping patients it is crucial that we put quality metrics into place. Since our program will be in a hospital setting aiming to reduce hypertension in mainly older males there will be many different ways of being able to measure this. The first external method that will help us track the quality of our program is by having regulatory agencies assess our program. These agencies will look into our quality of treatments, events, and performance. But how will we track our quality? Internally we will monitor the quality of our program by tracking our patients. We will track how many patients have their hypertension lower, how many patients come less, and how many patients are attending our events. If we track this data we will be able to create reports and generate observations along with conclusions.
A company can use structure, process, outcome, patient reported outcomes, resource use/cost/efficiency, and composing if and when that need to measure their quality. One practice in which hospitals and clinics measure hypertension and the quality of care is by the systolic and diastolic BP numbers. They use these numbers and compare it to the normal or desired number; 120/80 mm Hg. Depending on the patients results their quality of care can be determined (Munter et al., 2019).
