Rubric attached (This is for a Nurse/Healthcare class)
A review of literature is (1) a discussion of the evidence you have found and then (2) a synthesis of that information. For this assignment, consider your problem statement and find five original research articles that would complement the problem experienced by you and your non-nursing healthcare professional partner. You should select quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods research articles. DO NOT USE meta-analysis, meta-synthesis, CQI projects reviews of literature, or systematic reviews. The section on the review of literature should include the following for EACH study.
The author(s) name and year
Description of the problem
Research Methodology (The type of study-was it quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method
The methods used (experimental, quasi-experimental, case study, ethnography, descriptive, etc.)
The population and sample
The setting
Findings
Recommendations for practice
Then develop a synthesis of the literature. From those five research studies retrieved, what were the common findings and recommendations? This is where citations of multiple works in the same parenthesis should be used rather than focusing on an individual study.
