Students will research the stakeholders involved in healthcare policy making and describe how each of these groups influences the development, support, and changes in healthcare policy in the United States. Stakeholders discussed in this 5-7 page paper should include all of the following: interest groups; lobbyists; consumers/patients; healthcare providers; healthcare organizations; payers and insurers; regulators; medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers; educational and research institutions; and business and corporations.
