The ANA Competency Framework includes (1) Lead Yourself, (2) Leading the organization and (3) Leading Others. Choose at least one competency cluster from each one of the three elements of the framework. Briefly describe the competency cluster you chose and identify which element of the framework it is part of. Identify how you would rate yourself on the behaviors listed with the competency cluster you chose – Novice, Competent or Expert. You are encouraged to choose one cluster in the novice competency, one from competent and one from expert as much as you can.
Novice: Your primary focus is understanding and gaining information in order to comprehend needed leadership skills. You would need assistance in order to fulfill the behaviors,
Competent: You have experience that gives you a level of confidence so you are able to independently complete this skill as needed, though help from experts may be needed from time to time.
Expert: You are able to intuitively engage in the listed behaviors and you can provide guidance to others, troubleshoot, and answer related questions
