The goal of this week is to describe how humans and other animals sense the physical world and ultimately construct a perception of it. First, select one of the following senses: vision, audition, or somatosensation. Then, describe the physical stimulus required for the chosen sensation, making sure to identify that specific sense’s receptor required to transduce the physical stimulus into a neural signal. Next, trace the pathway this information travels to ultimately reach its primary cortical region.
Within your paper, include an image or graphic that illustrates the functionality of your chosen sense. You may create your graphic or locate one in your research. Length: 3-5 pages, not including title and reference pages or your graphic References: Include a minimum of 2 scholarly resources.
