This research proposal is the final project for my Research Methods Psych class

This research proposal is the final project for my Research Methods Psych class as a psych major this term. The two variables I’m interested in are; the degree to which someone experiences/d abuse at
home, and the expected likelihood that the target would begin to abuse substances.
Independent Variable/Predictor: Level to which victim endures abuse
Dependent Variable/Outcome: Expected likelihood that the target will depend on
substance(s).
a. the Degree of abuse will be a continuous variable. I will
examine presence of abuse in one’s life and consider it upon a
spectrum.
b. the Presence of substance abuse will be a categorical variable. I will
compare abuse vs non use/abuse of substances.
