Writing Assignment 1
Each writing assignment for the semester will be one part of a research paper using data collected from previous classes. For your writing assignments, you will first identify which variables you are interested in (and over what timeframe). Next, you will conduct a literature review around your variables of interest (that are assessed), formulate hypotheses around these, analyze the data, and write up the report in APA style. For each section of the paper (Writing assignments 1 and 2), you will receive feedback, which you will be able to incorporate into the final report (writing assignment 3).
Directions (Read Carefully!)
Identify which variables interest you, and read up on background literature about them. For writing assignment 1, you will submit a title page, introduction/literature review, a description of the current study, hypotheses, the type of claim you are making in your study, and a references section (at least 3 peer-reviewed journal articles). APA format must be used throughout the entire paper.
