Written Paper – Paper Length – 2-3 pages.This paper has two parts:
Part I – Review the two articles listed in required reading (attached), “Systems thinking…” and “Tomorrow’s Top Healthcare Leaders”. In four to five paragraphs discuss your thoughts on these two articles. Make sure to Include not just the facts or “Objective” content of the article but also include what you “think” about the facts as well, in other words the “Subjective portion”
Part II – Review (appendix B) on Descriptive and Predescriptive Leadership models (page 472). Once you have reviewed these pages, now apply these models to the two articles you wrote in Part I.
As an example your format for the paper should look like this:
Discussion Part I – Two Articles Module 1 –
Objective – This is where you discuss the facts of BOTH articles.
Subjective – This is where you discuss what you “think” about the facts of those articles. Your discussion should include terminology such as “I did not agree”, “I do agree but I’m not sure….” In other words there should be significant “I” statements.
**Make sure you complete the objective/subjective for both articles. You can combine both articles into one objective/subjective or you can separate for each article, that is up to you.
Discussion Part II – Discuss the two Articles from Part I as applied within the Descriptive and Predescriptive Leadership Models Module 1
Objective – This is where you discuss the facts of Descriptive & Predescriptive Leadership Models and how the articles in Discussion Part I apply.
