You may have heard celebrity gossip reporting that many pregnant Hollywood stars schedule C-sections for convenience and to avoid the pain of labor (i.e., Britney Spears, Denise Richards, Elizabeth Hurley, Victoria Beckham). Think about this in terms of women’s rights, health care coverage (typically C-sections are only covered if they are medically necessary which makes elective C-sections available only for the wealthy), and the health risks and benefits to the operation. Discuss your opinion on Cesarean Section by Choice. Are you in favor of this option or not? Use your text and Internet research to support your decision.
